Enjoy bygone tastes from 18th century
As part of the tercentenary of Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s birth (1712-1778), Oise County celebrates the famous writer and philosopher whose last residence was in Ermenonville in Oise county. Before the transfer of his ashes to the Pantheon in Paris, he was buried on the island of poplars in Ermenonville park - the first English garden in France inspired by Rousseau.
Spurred on by the Oise Tourism board, 14 chefs of 11 restaurants have joined forces to create special menus inspired by Rousseau. Château de Montvillargenne has the pleasure to participate in this event. Our chef offers a special "Rousseau" menu with perfect food and wine piaring available in Le Vilargène Gourmet Restaurant from March 21, 2012 until November 15, 2012.
